Hello All,
I have not written on this page for quite some time now. Not having had litters for awhile.....I was working on fixing up my new home, a year after my move, there is still much to be done!
We currently have a beautiful litter from Jolie, who is one of the best moms that I have ever had. She does not rule the roost with an iron fist like some of my other gals, she is very gentle and happy with her pups. They are now over 9 weeks old (I like to home around 10 weeks) and have the most amazing personalities! Mama has been put with the other dogs now and it is strictly hands on by human beings and spending time with the other dogs when they have their free time of running around the house (with my supervision, of course!). This is a favortie time for Carly, going on 5 and spayed, as she enjoys frolicing with the pups and is so gentle and loving with them. These pups are available, so please look in the nursery, and click on Jolie.
We are expecting litters on August 8th and August 20th. Violet is due around August 8th. This is her first litter and as usual, this is always a time of uncertainty with a new mom. I am sure that she will do fine....She is nesting around the house right now and getting extra nutrition and her raspberry syrup.....which she tolerates. She is 7 lbs and has been bred to Sundance 5.75 lbs. I am hoping for some nice black and whites and would love to see some girls in this litter. Sundance has been giving me mostly boys the last 2 litters....Lovely boys but I'd like to see some little girls!
Savannah (with a great pedigree!) is due August 20th. She was also bred to Sundance, even at her 10 pound weight! Sundance knows how to get the job done!!! I am looking forward to this litter as she has such beautiful red and white puppies. She is from the Misty Deja Vue and Karyon lines......lots of Champions back in her pedigree. She is one sweet girl and this will be her second litter!
We have a new stud, Stetson, who is an adorable light chocolate and white parti that appears to have a marbeling of color in his coat. I look forward to his puppies in the future. I am going to keep one of the current male puppies that I have but have not decided on which one to keep at this point. That will leave us with 3 studs available to us.
As you may know, my dogs live here with me and some live with other members of my family. I have two that live with a close neighbor. I find this solution to work well as they get more attention. I do make sure that all of their vet needs are attended to and they live with me during breeding and then come back a few weeks before whelping. We are all close by, so it is a great solution!
